This €3 million project headed by KERRY Ingredients Ltd at their Food & Ingredients Plant in Charleville involved a design and build refurbishment and reconfiguration of the old Butter Production Factory.
The project also included the extension and expansion of loading and logistical facilities to aid in the manufacturing process. The Butter Factory refurbishment works involved the demolition and strip out of the existing 2,200 sqm concrete framed structure. The facility design included a detailed assessment of the existing as built structure, namely concrete framed column and masonry elevations supporting long span steel lattice trusses.
The civil engineering involved the design of a three storey steel framed structure to be erected within the existing building with a significant roof protrusion to facilitate high level blending and manufacturing equipment.
The project also involved the subdivision of the existing facility, assessment and detailing of all fire safety design, design layout of mezzanines, Laboratories, Offices and Employee Facilities. The design also involved 1,200 sqm extension works including loading docks, delivery and set-down areas, vehicular and external yard areas including car parking, building access and landscaping.Back to Industrial
