PUNCH staff came from throughout Ireland and the UK to enjoy our annual office outing on Friday last in Limerick. The event was particularly special this year on the 50th anniversary of our founding in 1973. The day was filled with team building activities and the evening/night celebration was held on the top floor of the Limerick Strand Hotel, where all ate, drank and were merry, while enjoying panoramic views of Limerick. We availed of the views to outline to staff a number of the legacy projects PUNCH have engineered in Limerick over the past 50 years. Of the approximately 30,000 projects PUNCH have worked on, approximately 15,000 have been completed in the Limerick area. We talked to staff about a number of these legacy projects such as Kings John Castle, Thomond Park, Project Opera, International Rugby Experience, Gaelic Grounds, Clayton Hotel, Adare Manor and the Strand Hotel itself. As per our company purpose statement, at PUNCH we have indeed used our Engineering skills to improve people’s lives. And this was very evident as we looked around us on Friday.
