PUNCH Consulting Engineers have an exciting opportunity for an Associate – Structures to work in our Dublin office.
Job Description:
As an Associate – Structures, you will be working on the delivery of major structural projects, with responsibility for the technical, managerial and commercial aspects of your projects. You will be reporting to the Senior Management Team and providing leadership to your project teams.
Candidate Specification:
- Honours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years postgraduate experience in engineering consultancy.
- Chartered Status with Engineers Ireland/IStructE.
- An excellent track record in the delivery of projects to include design, people management, project costing, budgeting, contract documentation, programming, chairing meetings, project management, site monitoring for compliance, contributing to the handover of completed projects
- An excellent understanding of engineering principles and a strong technical focus, ability to apply engineering principles and codes of practice to solve technical problems.
- Excellent conceptual design abilities to provide robust and economical solutions in concrete, steel, timber, masonry etc.
- Significant base of IT skills including structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA, TEDDS suite, CADS suite, STRAP, REVIT + AutoCAD skills.
- Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project
- Independent judgement in the application of engineering science and knowledge including complex design, construction and management.
- Leadership skills to plan, manage and direct human, material and financial resources required to solve complex problems in multi-disciplinary teams.
- High level of commercial understanding and application.
- Develop the technical, commercial and management skills of staff that report to you through mentoring, delegation and training.
- Inspire and motivate the staff that report to you through leadership, mutual respect, honest communication and hard work.
- Work to ensure business targets are achieved.
- Enhance Company profile and assist Senior Management in the promotion of the Company Vision.
- Commitment to the public interest in all aspects of your work including health, safety, risk, financial, commercial, legal, environmental, social, energy conservation, sustainability
- A positive, proactive approach with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios
