Project Description

The specification required by Beacon Medical Group was of the highest order for this their first private hospital in Ireland and includes MRI, CT scanner with cardiac capabilities, CT Sim, and PET/CT. Digital Radiology suites are provided with advanced Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound, as well as Flouroscopy and Angiography suites and lab with advanced single-plane and bi-plane systems. There are 8 operating theatres, 2 Endoscopy suites, a state of the art Oncology day treatment centre and therapeutic radiography with LINAC-Linear Accelerator which required the construction of underground specialist concrete bunkers.

Beacon Hospital forms part of the Beacon Court Development in Sandyford in South Dublin. The hospital provides for 183 beds at full capacity. It was developed in conjunction with John Hopkins International and Triad Hospitals Incorporated and is designed to provide the highest standards of healthcare to both private and public patients.

Our involvement from the early stages of the project allowed us to work with the design team to provide innovative solutions to ensure that the two-year programme to deliver a fully working high specification hospital could be achieved. Value engineering solutions were implemented and led to significantly reduced costs to the Client including the selection of materials to fast-track the programme without compromising on quality standards.
