David Moore

David graduated from University college Cork in 2007 with a first class honours degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering. After graduation he spent six years in design and site roles where he worked for Laing O’Rourke in Sydney, Exova Group in Ireland and Structural Systems in London.

After completing a Masters of Structural Engineering at the University of Surrey he joined PUNCH as a Design Engineer in 2013. He quickly progressed through the engineering ranks at PUNCH and was appointed a Technical Director in 2017 and a Director in 2024.

David has worked on the design and supervision of building construction projects in multiple market sectors including commercial offices, healthcare, industrial and high-tech buildings. High profile projects David has been involved in delivering include Project Opera in Limerick, International Rugby Experience, Social Housing PPP Bundle 2, UHL Emergency Department and major investment projects for Analog Devices in their Limerick campus including the IPD Pilot Line Expansion Project and European R&D Centre.

David has particular expertise in structural design where he is responsible for the concept design, detailed design and the delivery of economic solutions with a focus on constructability, economy and efficiency. He has a keen interest in reducing the impact of building structures on the environment using efficient design and understanding the embodied carbon pre-construction.

Outside of work David enjoys travelling, hurling with his club Loughmore-Castleiney & Tipperary and spending time with his young family.
