Testimonials
“Working with PUNCH as a Graduate Engineer has been incredibly fulfilling. I have had the opportunity to collaborate on diverse projects with colleagues across the company, fuelling both my professional and personal growth.
PUNCH’s Professional Development programme includes valuable one-on-one mentorship, Lunchtime Seminars, and support for external CPD courses, all of which have really helped me to settle into my role as a Graduate Engineer and have inspired me to continually improve my skills as an engineer.
My responsibilities in the company have grown as I have gained experience and confidence. The trust and autonomy I have been given to make my own decisions have improved my critical thinking and ability to take decisive action. Throughout my time here, I continue to feel genuinely valued and appreciated.
PUNCH has an environment that welcomes the celebration of achievements, both big and small. One of the highlights of working at PUNCH as a graduate is the opportunity to visit sites frequently. Getting out to site once or twice a week has allowed me to witness first-hand the construction of our designs into real-world structures, which has been immensely gratifying.
The innovative IT department have been very helpful and ensures we have access to the latest software like Tekla, Revit and AutoCAD. The use of MS Teams allows seamless communication and collaboration between colleagues across the different PUNCH offices.”

Collaboration across offices exposes one to varied teams, broadening perspectives and skills. Upon joining you will be given a dedicated mentor to guide your development one-on-one. PUNCH make sure to recognise your hard work. This recognition of achievement fuels motivation and really does put a smile on my face. PUNCH’s communication channels whether they are email updates, or LinkedIn posts mean I am always in the loop with all PUNCH related news. One final thing that really appeals to me is PUNCH's commitment to professional development. Attending seminars/ courses maps a clear trajectory for advancement, making it not just a workplace, but a launchpad for success in the engineering realm. Overall PUNCH is an excellent place to work and having previously worked with the company during my placement for college, I was over the moon when I got the opportunity to rejoin them once I graduated.“
“PUNCH Consulting Engineers has been a great experience across various fronts. The variety of projects in which I've been involved to date has expanded my skill set enormously. The site exposure has given me insights into different projects, both large scale and small scale, such as a 200-unit housing development, and several local bridge rehabilitation projects. The positive and interactive work environment allows for collaboration and learning every step of the way. It's very motivating to work alongside experienced and supportive colleagues.
Regular social activities have been a great way to connect with colleagues outside work. Along with the flexitime policy, the atmosphere in the office creates a great work-life balance.
The excellent professional development programme here is well-organised. Regular workshops and seminars have honed my leadership and technical skills significantly. My experience at PUNCH continues to be very fulfilling, thanks to its diverse projects, supportive culture, and focus on professional growth.”

The collaborative spirit is truly infectious, and colleagues are open to help in any aspect while offering guidance and encouragement. This work approach and interactive atmosphere, makes coming to work a genuine pleasure.
Moreover, there’s been new sustainable projects that I’ve had the opportunity to take ownership, manage my time and use company’s tools to deliver the product. This trust has accelerated my learning curve and instilled a sense of accountability that fuels my motivation.
Seeing a more balanced workforce than the industry standard throughout the organization is truly inspiring. This commitment creates a welcoming and enriching environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their unique skills and perspectives.”
“What I enjoy most about working at PUNCH is the culture within the company. Everyone at the company, right up to director level is very approachable and would find time if you had a question for them. This made such a difference for me as a graduate, helping me to learn but also making the office an enjoyable place to work. There is frequent communication within the Dublin office and also with the other PUNCH offices via emails and social media posts, which adds to the feeling of community within the company. The multidisciplinary nature of our work means your day to day as a graduate is quite varied. The work is very practical and gives a great opportunity to apply theory learned in your studies, via various software and design tools as well as on site visits. It’s nice to have the opportunity to work from home one day a week as a graduate, in addition to flexibility in hours outside of the core working hours.”
“I started working with PUNCH in November 2022 as a Graduate Engineer in the Precast Department. Being new to the country and new to the department, my teammates guided me in every step. PUNCH taught me Starting Small and Achieving Big. I currently work on wide range of Precast projects and every project presents new opportunities to learn, making me more proficient in my profession. PUNCH Precast Team were the winners of the ACEI (Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland Engineering) Engineering Excellence Award in the ‘Innovation Category’ and I am proud to have played my part in this achievement.
The direct communication with the directors allows me to express my views and opinions on our projects. I really appreciate and value the belief and encouragement given to me by my director. PUNCH has an excellent working environment for career growth in terms of interaction with the Senior Engineers and sharing knowledge.
PUNCH is a diversified company which has employees from all over the world. I recently organised an Eid Party 2023 for one of our colleagues. The interest that every employee put in to make the party a success was greatly appreciated. Organising International Women’s Day 2024 also gave me an opportunity to interact with the various PUNCH offices and execute my ideas to celebrate the occasion.
The Sport and Social Club events like golf, bowling, ice skating and the annual Summer Outing are fun activities to do after a busy day. Such activities allow us to team up with Civil and Structural employees and have a great and memorable time.”
