Project Description
This was a refurbishment of a 5 storey office building in a much sought after area of Dublin City Centre. It is part of multiple refurbishment of buildings in the Haddington Street/Percy Place locality, Three Haddington Buildings.
An enabling works contract stripped the building of all non-load bearing partitions, took cores in agreed locations through the concrete slabs and masonry walls to establish foundation and RC element sizes and screed depths, removed the non-structural screed from the slabs, safely removed any Asbestos containing materials in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Exposure to Asbestos) Regulations 2006 (S.I. No. 386 of 2006) and the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Exposure to Asbestos)(Amendment) Regulations 2010 (S.I. No. 589 of 2010), and established the location & condition of the existing sewer network.
The semi-basement area involved a change of use from plant and storage space to new staff changing facilities, locker room and bicycle store, PUNCH acted as Assigned Certifier.
PUNCH H&S were involved in all stages of the design and construction, ensuring adequate communication took place between all of the interested parties.
