Last week, we proudly celebrated International Women’s Day and this year’s theme, “Give to Gain”, a reminder that when we invest in women, we strengthen our workplaces, our communities, and our future.
At PUNCH, we are fortunate to work alongside incredible women whose talent, leadership, and passion contribute to our success every day. International Women’s Day reminds us to reflect and to celebrate not only their achievements, but the many ways we all work together to create an industry where more women can thrive.
At PUNCH, we aim to ‘Give To Gain’ every day through:
- Inspiring the next generation through school visits, our involvement with iWish, and our ongoing involvement with industry groups, where we aim to show young women the opportunities waiting for them in our industry.
- Flexible & part-time working arrangements for all our staff.
- Leadership pathways: including mentorship and training.
We are committed to empowering women to grow, lead, and shape the future within PUNCH and the industry.
To mark International Women’s Day, teams across all our offices gathered throughout the week for tea and chats, celebrating our colleagues and sharing what IWD means to each of us. We also launched a series of internal videos where staff members shared their thoughts on IWD and what it means for them.
At PUNCH, we understand the value of education. That’s why we support our staff who wish to undertake further education and training. We encourage staff members to maintain their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) accreditations with Engineers Ireland. We also continue to offer training in sustainable design and construction through seminars, in-house lectures, and external training programmes. We promote the achievement of professional titles with institutions such as Engineers Ireland, the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland, the Institute of Structural Engineers, and the Institute of Civil Engineers.
