Tim Murnane was honoured to be elected President of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI)

Our Managing Director, Tim Murnane was honoured to be elected President of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI) at the AGM dated 11th April 2025. The ACEI was founded in 1938 and is the representative body for Consulting Engineers. The ACEI represents 120 member firms, which employ over 5,000 people in Ireland. In his acceptance speech, Tim noted his priorities for the year were to strengthen the Community of Consulting Engineers and to support member firms to improve the “Business of Consulting Engineering”.

He also borrowed a GAA term, when he told members it was time to “pull on the county jersey”. Our planet faces enormous developmental challenges, which Consulting Engineers are uniquely positioned to help address. But we need a GAA like community of Consulting Engineers to most effectively position ourselves to do this, where we all support each other.

Holding the ACEI Presidency is a great honour for Tim and for PUNCH Consulting Engineers.
