This project involved the remodelling and upgrading of the existing entrance to the Annacotty Business Park in Annacotty, Co. Limerick.
The Annacotty Business Park hosts a range of industrial buildings across its 32.5 hectares, with expansion ongoing. The only entrance to the site was a single lane entry.
PUNCH Consulting Engineers provided Civil, Structural and Traffic Engineering services for the project.
Our scope of services included:
- Minimisation of disruption to existing operations at the campus
- Design of a new 2 lane entry/exit to replace the existing entrance arrangement
- Provision of cycle lanes and pedestrian access separate to proposed vehicular entrance
- Retain the existing security hut located in the centre of the road
- Provision of SuDS measures including permeable paving to parking areas, rain gardens located in the median of the road and infiltration trenches along proposed paths
- Provision of off-road parking area with appropriate drainage
- Re-design of existing drainage layout to suit new entrance arrangement
- Roads and line marking design
