OPW Building at Limerick’s Opera Square begins Construction

We are thrilled to see the commencement of construction on the new OPW tower at Opera Square in Limerick, where PUNCH is providing Civil and Structural Engineering services.

This €70million OPW building represents a significant milestone within the broader Limerick Twenty Thirty DAC programme, which aims to reshape the economic and urban landscape of the city and its surroundings. Upon completion, this building will be Limerick’s and the Mid-West’s tallest structure. The building is set to be completed in 30 months, followed by the fit-out phase.

The project will provide 100,000 square feet of office space within a structure designed to meet the NZEB standard. Serving as a central hub for government departments in the Mid-West, this office block will house approximately 1,500 civil servants.

At PUNCH we very much look forward to playing our part in the successful delivery of the project.
