Kilsaran HQ

The project involved constructing a two-storey office building extension to the existing Kilsaran showroom, creating a new corporate headquarters. The building’s gross floor area expanded from 952 m² to 3,152 m².

The refurbishment of the existing building, along with a new link section to the extension, results in a cohesive campus for both staff and visiting clients. This project highlights the client’s extensive range of concrete products and design expertise.

The structural design features an arrangement of precast concrete elements, including walls, columns, flat slabs, and beams, which are exposed internally to provide an architectural finish and assist in temperature regulation within the office spaces. An architecturally designed precast concrete cladding panel system enhances the external envelope of the building.

Sustainable drainage systems were integrated throughout the site, using permeable paving, infiltration trenches, soakaways, and maximising soft landscaping. These sustainable design solutions eliminated the need for underground attenuation tanks on site.

PUNCH Consulting Engineers provided civil and structural engineering design services for this project.
