PUNCH Consulting Engineers were the Civil and Structural Engineers for the development of an 80,000 cubic metre Petrochemical Storage Terminal for Atlantic Fuel Supply Company located at Foynes Port, Co. Limerick. The terminal is used for the storage and distribution by road and ship of petroleum project. Product is imported through the port using the existing oil dolphins, which were upgraded for the terminal. The terminal facility consists of 16 No. oil storage tanks, a truck loading bay, truck parking, foam storage tank, two storey operations building, single storey electrical service building with electrical sub-station and boiler house. Construction of the terminal commenced in 2007 and was completed by 2011.
