Cork Airport Solar Car Port

The proposed development comprises the installation of solar carport structures within the Cork Airport blue long-term car park. It is planned to install 3,552 no. photovoltaic panels on steel support structures covering 720 existing parking spaces, with provision also for all necessary cabling and electrical infrastructure. The planning area encompasses a significant portion of the existing blue long-term car parking spaces and traffic lanes.

PUNCH undertook the planning application inputs for the development including a Traffic Assessment and Drainage Impact Assessment. PUNCH also undertook a review of the proposed phasing of the construction of the works to ensure pedestrian and vehicular access can be maintained in a sequential manner during the construction of the project.
