PUNCH was delighted to support the recent ACEI regional networking event in Limerick. This was particularly significant for us, as our Managing Director, Tim Murnane, currently holds the position of ACEI President. A highlight of the evening was an inspiring talk by Limerick Mayor John Moran, who set out his vision and ambitions for Limerick. Other speakers included Engineers Ireland Thomond Chair, Mr Barry Lowe and our own Tim Murnane. All speakers referenced the mega Ardnacrusha project, completed almost 100 years ago, which illuminated our country. And all felt passionately that drawing on such an inspirational achievement from our past should give great confidence to the current generation to really push forward with a new era of infrastructural development that will hold equal levels of inspiration in the future.
At PUNCH, we understand the value of education. That’s why we support our staff who wish to undertake further education and training. We encourage staff members to maintain their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) accreditations with Engineers Ireland. We also continue to offer training in sustainable design and construction through seminars, in-house lectures, and external training programmes. We promote the achievement of professional titles with institutions such as Engineers Ireland, the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland, the Institute of Structural Engineers, and the Institute of Civil Engineers.
