The £1 billion Stratford Waterfront development at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is a landmark initiative that brings together some of the world’s leading educational and cultural institutions. This includes the BBC, Sadler’s Wells, UAL’s London College of Fashion, University College London, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution.
PUNCH Consulting was engaged by Merson Group, the appointed sub-contractor, to deliver structural calculation packages and detailed design sketches for the external signage systems. These packages addressed all necessary connections required to support signage installations across multiple key buildings:
• Victoria and Albert Museum
• London College of Fashion (UAL)
• Sadler’s Wells
Structural analysis and design were carried out using Tekla Structural Designer, accounting for the diverse forms and dimensions of each individual sign.
