King Fahad Medical City Masterplan

King Fahad Medical City in Riyadh is one of the largest independent Medical Cities in the Middle East. It consists of a Main Hospital, Women’s Specialist Hospital, Paediatric and Rehabilitation Hospitals. In addition to the hospitals, there are medical centres specialising in Neuroscience, Haematology, Oncology and Diabetes, a Medical Faculty Building, Auditorium Building and over 2,000 residential units consisting of nursing accommodation, family apartments and villas.

PUNCH provided Engineering Consultancy Services for Integrated Master Planning for the existing Medical City and its future development up to 2025, including the design of a new 4-storey 10,000m2 Cochlear Implant Unit.

The role included full design consultancy and project management services to the client for the existing and new clinical buildings, and covered all design aspects of the civil, structural, and transportation engineering systems including design stage project management.  The consultancy services provided include client liaison with hospital and facilities maintenance management, detailed condition surveys, phased presentation of all recommendations, budget preparation, design production and co-ordination, tender documentation, tender analysis and reporting.
