The project involved the new build construction of a single-storey nursery school with a GIFA of 540m2, which provided 2 large playrooms. The building structure also included offices, stores and amenities, all served by a circulation area.
PUNCH Consulting were appointed to provide the following Civil and Structural Engineering services:
• Timber frame design.
• Timber truss and rafter design.
• Foundation design and detailing.
• S.E.R. Certification
• Surface water assessment, including attenuation measures and new drainage.
• SUDS Drainage system in order to reduce the likelihood of flooding, reduce water pollution and replenish groundwater supplies, utilising infiltration trenches to roads, car parks and drainage.
• Engineering of external paved areas.

We encourage staff members to maintain their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) accreditations with Engineers Ireland. We also continue to offer training in sustainable design and construction through seminars, in-house lectures, and external training programmes. We promote the achievement of professional titles with institutions such as Engineers Ireland, the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland, the Institute of Structural Engineers, and the Institute of Civil Engineers.
