North Lanarkshire Council engaged PUNCH Consulting Engineering for the creation of structural details and specifications for a new masonry wall structure. This design features an arched roof made from curved glulam beams and a reinforced concrete raft slab foundation at the Pather Community Cemetery Building.
The civil works aspect of the project involved significant excavation and embankment efforts tailored for the preparation of burial plots. These activities considered the varying water table levels to guarantee long-term stability and functionality. Alongside these foundational tasks, the project included the construction of a comprehensive drainage system to effectively manage water flow. Roads were developed to enhance access and transport, and an attenuation pond was installed, serving as a vital element for stormwater management and flood prevention.
