Sanmina Ireland has been delivering integrated electronic manufacturing solutions in Fermoy since 1989.
PUNCH played a significant role in the expansion of Sanmina’s microelectronics manufacturing facility in County Cork, as part of the integrated design team.
The Sanmina L2DU project includes a new 1,500m² extension that accommodates office and production areas, along with upgrades to an additional 1,100m². This also features a 200m² turnkey ISO 8 cleanroom. The site works involved diversions of existing storm and foul lines, the creation of a new vehicular entrance, and upgrades to the adjacent public road and site infrastructure.
PUNCH began work on the Sanmina L2DU project in March 2024, conducting a concept study for the new manufacturing facility. The project successfully secured funding approval, planning, detailed design, tendering, and construction within a 19-month timeframe, culminating in the delivery of a new manufacturing facility for Sanmina by September 2025.
